Strength in Numbers at Citywide Tenants Convention, 2/8
In the past months, local tenant conventions in the Mission, Chinatown, Richmond/Haight, Castro, and SOMA/Tenderloin have brought together thousands of neighbors. Now is our chance to rally together, join a citywide conversation and solidify proposals that will seek to stem the tide of displacement, speculation, and Ellis Act evictions. Now is the time for change in the name of our City’s tenants!
Join tenants, activists, and members of the Harvey Milk Club this Saturday, February 8 at Tenderloin Elementary School from 12-4pm. The convention is being organized by the San Francisco Anti-Displacement Coalition and sponsored by many organizations, including the Harvey Milk Club.

Castro Tenants Convention 2014
Join your neighbors and the Milk Club on January 11, 2013, at 12pm at the LGBT Center (Market/Octavia) for a gathering of tenants from the Castro / Noe Valley / Diamond Heights / Mission Dolores / Twin Peaks / Duboce Triangle area to brainstorm strategies for fighting the evictions in our neighborhoods and defend those who are being evicted.
Participants in the convention will develop suggestions for a ballot initiative to be placed on November’s ballot. These suggestions will be presented at a citywide tenants convention in February.
If we are going to stop displacement in the Castro and other neighborhoods we need all hands on deck! Our strength is in our ability to organize our masses around specific solutions and we hope to see many of our members at the convention on Saturday.

35th Anniversary Memorial Candlelight Vigil and March for Harvey Milk and George Moscone
Harvey and George were the brightest beacons of hope for San Francisco’s disenfranchised and displaced. But more than that, they represented the spirit of San Francisco, a city for anyone and everyone, welcoming to all, affordable to all, with justice for all. 35 years later, the time has come again for us to gather, one and all, to remember Harvey and George. More importantly, the time has come to make their vision of a city of hope come alive. Now more than ever, we have to give each other hope.
Join the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club on Wednesday, November 27th at 7pm at Harvey Milk Plaza for a candlelight vigil and march to honor the memory of our namesake and Mayor George Moscone.
RSVP on Facebook here and share with your networks. Strength in numbers!
