At the General Membership Meeting, the Vice President for Political Action will make a motion to hold an endorsement vote at the next General Membership Meeting scheduled for June 18, 2024. The endorsements will pertain to the November 2024 General Election.

As outlined in Article V, Section F of the bylaws, the General Membership is hereby notified that a sufficient number of active members have submitted the request for caucus formation and a statement of organization and purpose is presented for approval:

The purpose of the Global Justice Caucus of the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club is to: integrate global viewpoints into the organization's political stances, candidate questionnaires, and debates; educate members; and find actionable ways for the club to demonstrate solidarity in the Bay Area. Through this work, the caucus can also increase club visibility and membership. In his famous “Hope Speech”, Milk called for the closure of San Francisco’s South African consulate, underscoring the rights of individuals to not be treated like second-class citizens. Furthermore, San Francisco queers, especially queers of color, have long led solidarity with global justice campaigns outside of and within the Club.
